LOCATION AND TRAVEL DIRECTIONS
The Coach House is located at Kilmuir, which is five miles from the city of Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland. Situated above the village of Kilmuir, the Coach House has spectacular views over the coastline of the Moray Firth.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS by car
Approaching from the South take the A9 North to Inverness. Keep on the A9 and cross the Kessock bridge over the Moray Firth. Take the first left turn off the dual carriageway signed to Kilmuir/Drumsmittal. At roundabout follow signs for Kilmuir - this road takes you under the dual carriageway. Once through the underpass take the left turn signed for Kilmuir. After a third of a mile take a right turn signed for Kilmuir, there is a further right turn after approx. 2 miles signed for Kilmuir. As the road descends through beech woods you will come to see the water of the Moray Firth in front of you - the Coach House is the tall building standing in its own grounds on the right, before the road descends down to Kilmuir village itself.
Approaching from the North down the A9 South towards Inverness but before Kessock Bridge take left turn signed for Kilmuir and Drumsmittal. There is a right turn shortly after you leave the A9 just as you ascend the first hill. After approx one third of mile take right turn signed for Kilmuir. After approx 2 miles take right turn signed for Kilmuir. As the road descends through beech woods you will come to see the water of the Moray Firth in front of you - the Coach House is the tall building standing in its own grounds on the right, before the road descends down to Kilmuir village itself.
Transport may be arranged from the railway or bus station in Inverness or from Inverness ( Dalcross) Airport (20 mins).
Easy Jet and British Airways have flights from Luton, Gatwick, Heathrow and Bristol ,to (Dalcross ) Inverness Airport
A member of the Coach House Team is usually available to collect Coach House visitors from the airport or station by prior arrangement. A donation towards our petrol costs would be appreciated.
