The Coach House is offered on a self catering basis. It provides warm, flexible and comfortable facilities that lend themselves to those seeking to host or facilitate times of retreat. Its spaces include
- a beautiful, light filled sanctuary space with views across the Moray Firth which lends itself to times of group reflection, meditation, prayer and silence
- a comfortable sitting room with views across the garden over to the water and a log burning stove
- a dining room that comfortably seats 12
- a well equipped kitchen
- one double ensuite ground floor bedroom specifically accommodates accessibility needs
- four ensuite bedrooms on the first floor
- two bedrooms with shared bathroom facilities
- a ‘staff flat’ within the house which is separately accessible and has its own bathroom and kitchenette
- two garden rooms set within our grounds with power and seating, suitable for private consultations or personal times of reflection
- an art room in the attic with basic art materials which you are welcome to use.
If you hire The Coach House, you will be given access to all these areas.
The Coach House lends itself to day events in which case access to all public areas will be available but not to the upper floors.
All spaces other than the art room have been created with ease of access for all. There is no lift to the upper floors
You will be welcomed by our onsite host who will normally be available for enquiries during your stay if needed.
We can also provide details of local catering companies who can provide locally sourced and cooked meals or details of places from which you can order food deliveries. There are no shops in the village of Kilmuir – the nearest shop is about 2.5 miles away.
