The Coach House has been welcoming guests since it first opened in 1992. Our founders, Ursula Burton and Joyce Ferne wrote this: ‘We wanted to create a homely environment enabling those who stay ‘to come home to themselves’ in the beauty and silence of this place’. Since 2014, the retreat house has been owned by a partnership between the Coach House Kilmuir Trust (CHKT) and the Society or Retreat Conductors.. The Board of Trustees of the CHKT are responsible for the running of the retreat house, alongside the Co-ordinator and Assistant Co-ordinator.
